How to use the wind turbine ?

  • Select the location to install the wind turbine, based on your experience and not the portable wind speed meters (anamometers). The wind turbine can be easily transported to any other location, even when fully assembled. It is sufficient to place the wind generator just two meters above the ground or higher to increase the power delivered.
  • Assemble the wind turbine as per the instruction manual available in the box. When assembling, keep the manual brake active before installing the turbine on the center shaft. Assemble at a point where you plan to install the wind generator. If at the point where you plan to install the wind turbine, assembling is dangerous, buy the rotating trailer C3151 along with the wind generator.
  • Once the assembly is complete, plug the wind generator into the ground. If any accessory does not fit into the holes to be connected, do not modify it in any way. Recheck the assembly from step 1 to figure out where the error might have been committed. The probability that a component is incorrectly processed is zero.
  • Place the controller, batteries, and inverter near the power point. From the generator to the controller using a common, flexible, watertight, three-core cable with a cross-section of 2.5mm. From the controller to the batteries, use a thick flexible cable with a cross section corresponding to the connection distance. Please refer to the controller C8502. Do not forget to connect the fuses to the wiring diagram. From the batteries to the inverter, use a thick flexible cable with a cross section corresponding to the connection distance. From the inverter to the consumption, use a common three-pole cable with a cross-section of 2.5mm. Release the brake.
  • To choose the size of the batteries, decide how many days’ worth of stored energy you would want. For example, your consumption is 18kw a day and you want energy stored for two days, the batteries will have to store 36kw. The best type of battery is OPzS and each battery, in this category, is 2 volts. If you buy 24 such batteries and connect them in series, then the battery output will be 48 volts. If each battery is 1.000 Ah, then the total energy that can be stored is 48-volt x 1.000 Ampere = 48.000 watt. However, from this stored energy only 80% can be used. Therefore, 48.000 watt x 80% = 38.400 watts. In practice, with this level of stored energy, you can cover more than two days without wind because the wind turbine generates energy at very low wind speeds.
  • To select the size of the inverter, calculate the instantaneous maximum power you need (peak consumption). For example, if you want to use two electrical appliances with very high consumption at the same time, such as the 3 Kw electric oven and one boiler 3 Kw, you need an inverter of 3 + 3 + 2 = 8 Kw. But if you do not use electrical appliances with very high consumption at the same time and use them gradually during the day, you will need a much smaller inverter.
  • During operation, the wind generator must not produce any mechanical noise. Otherwise, you should investigate whether small branches of trees or other small objects come into contact with the moving parts. If your wind generator model uses a chain for power transmission, then every six months you need to lubricate the chain. These wind turbines do not need any other maintenance. The wind generator can cover all our electricity needs, but its use requires ecological consciousness.
